Newspaper Report Topics:

1.       Present some functions that are in recent newspaper articles.  Include copies of the articles in your essay. Give the independent and dependent variables for each function.

2.       Present some slopes in newspaper articles.  Include copies of the articles in your essay. Present the independent, dependent variables and the significance of the slope to the article.  

3.       Present some quadratic functions in newspaper articles.  Include copies of the articles in your essay. Present the independent, dependent variables, why it’s a quadratic function and the significance of the function to the article.

Group Projects

If you were placed in remedial english (eng001) rdg001 or remedial math (math001 or math002) and have not passed eng001, rdg001 or math002 or math 003 you may not take this course.  If you do sign up for this course you will not receive credit for it.  You should arrange as soon as possible to drop this course and sign up for the appropriate noncredit math course.
