| Calculator: | Each student must have a calculator that has a change of sign key and a square root key. Calculators are to be brought to class every day and can be used on all exams. |
| Course Requirements: | You are expected to arrive to class on time and stay for the full period. Textbooks, calculators and completed homework assignments are required for every class. Attendance will be taken at the beginning of each class period. Every 3 late arrivals or early departures will count as 1 absence. |
| Grades: | The grade for this course is either S (satisfactory) or U (unsatisfactory). This is a non-credited class and as a result a grade of W cannot be given. If a student has officially withdrawn during the automatic withdrawal period, a W will appear on the transcript, however, any combination of 3 W’s or U’s will result in dismissal from the college. |
| Final Exam: | The final exam is a computerized cumulative final and will be given at the end of the semester. Only those students who have 4 or fewer absences or have a class average above 50% will allowed to take the final exit exam. An additional attempt to try to pass the exit exam may be given. This will depend on the attendance and/or average at the end of the semester. |
| Math Center: | Additional educational assistance is available in the Mathematics Center, Room B –130. If you wish to make use of the Math Center, a student ID card must be obtained. |
| Cell Phones: | Any cell phone brought to class must be turned off. You are not permitted to make or receive any telephone calls during class. |
| Beepers: | Beepers must either be turned off or placed in silent/vibrate mode. |
