Projects: Short and Long Term

1999 - Present

MyMathTest.com: I am one of the co-developers of the content and structure for this web site. This web site has come about as the result of an informal partnership between Addison/Wesley and the MRATs, the Departmental Remedial Math Reform Committee.

1998  -Present

Revised Remedial Math Program/Course: The results of this collaboration between a few faculty members of the Math Department was the design and implementation of a new course titled “Integrated Arithmetic & Introductory Algebra.” This new course also includes math anxiety reduction exercises.

1981-Present

MAP (Math Anxiety Program): This program has been in continuous development since 1981. It represents a synthesis of all my training and research into the relationship of the affective and cognitive aspects of learning. The result of this investigation has led to the development of the Holistic Learning Model/Process. This process can be used in individual sessions, small groups and in small classes for remedial or non-remedial students. (www.holisticlearning.net )

1975 - Present

Instructional Support Materials: I have developed printed and software learning materials to supplement concept development and skill development in and for many math and computer courses. Since much of my time is spent working mostly with individual students in both math and computer labs, I have had the chance to assist students who have trouble learning using traditional textbooks and class notes. This work has helped me to form the foundations of the holistic learning approach.
